Graduate Teaching Assistants – Christchurch. Are you looking to secure a role working within education? No experience is needed, just a can-do attitude and a passion for supporting young people.

Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic and passionate graduates who are looking to gain classroom experience before starting teacher training. These are long-term placements begin throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities

Assist the teacher and support students in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships.
Provide high-quality support to pupils to help them engage with learning.

Location & Details

Location: Christchurch & surrounding areas
Position: Full Time Graduate Teaching Assistant
Type of work: School support/Teaching
Start date: ongoing throughout the year
School hours: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, term-time only
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time
Minimum rate of pay: £13.09 per hour

About the Role

This is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain classroom experience before starting teacher training. No experience needed, just a can-do attitude. Full support and guidance will be provided from Prospero\’s Training and Development Team, awarded \’Best Upskilling Provider\’ in the UK Business Awards 2024. Full access to additional CPD courses, live webinars and 1-1 coaching. A stepping stone to salaried routes to obtain qualified teacher status. We have links with teacher training providers where you can obtain QTS with no tuition fees.

Requirements / Qualifications

No experience needed as full training will be provided.
You should hold a recent degree.
You will have a passion for education and a can-do attitude.
You will be an excellent role model for young people.
You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.
Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
A positive attitude and desire to maintain current standards and raise attainment across the school.
Lots of energy and enthusiasm.
The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun.
Excellent communication skills.
