Your new company is a reinsurance and insurance firm that spans internationally with over 14,000 headcount. Your new role involves reporting into the head of employee relations for EMEA, where you'll be responsible for all employee relations for corporate functions, sales, and actuarial. Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting line managers with performance management, grievances, and absence management
  • Managing small scale redundancies as needed
  • Working with internal and external legal and employment lawyers
  • Making a positive impact on performance management processes to retain staff
  • Conducting disciplinaries and dismissals
  • Policy design and implementation
  • Processing employment requests such as flexible working requests

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • This is a specialist role, where you will have experience of purely working within employee relations.
  • This role will suit someone who sees employee relations as an excellent way to retain, develop, and improve company performance.
  • You’ll ideally have 3 years within an employee relations function, supporting line managers through various cycles.
  • Recent experience within insurance, financial services, or commerce companies.
  • Ability to analyse and create plans to impact employee relations cases without any support, i.e., complex case management at SLT level.
  • Most recent role being an ER Specialist.
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal, with examples of SLT being your key stakeholders.
