Our client is a growing business and a market leader within their sector, working across the UK and Ireland. They are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their successful Finance team based in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an established company that emphasises development and career growth.
Your new role
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions in accordance with UK GAAP and relevant legislation. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing month and year-end reporting, as well as assisting with group interactions.
- Supporting external audits, VAT/Tax/Customs returns, and company cashflow forecasting.
- Preparing management accounts, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and providing cost visibility to managers.
- Assisting in budget preparation, forecast deadlines, and VAT returns.
- Collaborating with external auditors and ensuring effective ABL facility management.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will ideally be:
- A Qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or qualified by experience.
- Proficient in financial accounting up to trial balance and ideally management accounts.
- Highly skilled in Excel (including pivot tables and lookups).
- Experienced in finance systems, processes, and accounting principles.
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-pressure finance environment, with exceptional attention to detail.
