An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team in a school setting. The role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based therapy to children and young people aged 11-19 with specific learning difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), dyslexia, and dyscalculia. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, hands-on Speech and Language Therapy interventions to a defined caseload of students with complex needs.
- Independently manage a varied caseload of pupils with developmental speech and language disorders, sensory needs, and learning difficulties.
- Carry out detailed assessments and create tailored therapy plans and reports.
- Deliver therapy both in-class and in small group or one-to-one settings.
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to ensure consistency and integration of therapy across the school day.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary reviews, EHCPs, and transition planning.
- Participate in CPD opportunities and help shape best practices across the therapy department.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Current registration with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
- Membership of RCSLT (Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists).
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a qualified SaLT.
- Demonstrable experience assessing, diagnosing, and implementing management plans.
- Experience working with children or young people with ASC, dyslexia, and other specific learning difficulties.
- A passion for working in an educational setting and supporting pupils with SEN.
Desirable:
- Prior experience working in a school setting.
- Solid background in NHS services, particularly community paediatrics or special schools.
- A flexible, proactive, and team-focused approach to work.

Additional Information:
