An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of my clients who are looking for an M&E Manager to oversee a portfolio of sites in Fitzrovia. You will lead a team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring contractual obligations are met and providing technical support and mentoring.

The successful candidate will support the Key Account Manager in daily tasks with reliability, flexibility, and professionalism. You will also assist Contract Managers and Contract Support in handling proactive and escalated reactive tasks.

The candidate should have a technical M&E background with experience managing a maintenance engineering team on-site. The company offers a competitive salary/package of £60,000 based on experience, along with training and career progression opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring statutory testing is conducted, updated, and logged in Logbooks.
  • Monitoring and controlling PPM and reactive statistics via eLogbook System and producing reports.
  • Producing monthly reports and collating minutes of meetings with actions closed out.
  • Generating energy reports for the customer.
  • Overseeing statutory certification and ensuring availability to the customer upon request.
  • Attending designated meetings by the Key Account Manager.
  • Monitoring & controlling the Training Matrix to ensure staff are trained appropriately.
  • Administering monthly team briefings and TBTs.
  • Conducting monthly QHSE site audits.
  • Producing quotations.
  • Managing the team according to procedures and policies, including wellbeing and H&S monitoring.
  • Ensuring efficient repair of site M&E equipment and services.
  • Prioritising and delegating reactive maintenance tasks to ensure service levels.
  • Controlling the Weekly Engineering Planner and communicating with customers regarding staffing issues.
  • Monitoring subcontractor contract performance and reporting issues to procurement.
  • Utilising Help Desk systems and monitoring SLA and staff performance.
  • Monitoring utilities usage and reporting abnormalities or savings to the client.
  • Managing critical engineering infrastructure, including risk registers and system availability reports.
  • Ensuring maintenance of critical equipment aligns with requirements.
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 Electrical installation or recognized equivalent
  • Electrical (BS7671 18th Edition)
  • Electrical (C&G2391 Inspection and Testing)
  • C&G Mechanical & HVAC
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical standards for Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, COSHH Electrical Services, HV & AC, and Water Systems Treatment.
  • Knowledge of business-critical services such as UPS and MGPS.
  • Full understanding of statutory compliance.
