Do you have previous experience within the steel fabrication industry? The Best Connection Mansfield are currently seeking an experienced press brake operator to work for our client based in Newark centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to produce parts to specification.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job.
- Perform quality checks using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Adjust machine settings to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with routine maintenance of machinery.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a press brake operator or similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Familiarity with safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30
Friday: 07:30 - 14:30
