Head4Talent is looking for a Management Accountant for a growing Manufacturing business near Bridgend. As the Management Accountant, you will drive financial performance improvements, profitability and reporting timelines working closely with the Financial Director.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Providing analysis on performance, KPI reports and investigating variances.
- Maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Assisting on budgets and forecasts.
- Liaising with the external auditors.
- Prepare and analyze production costs of materials, labour, and manufacturing overhead to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Analyzing data and presenting regular reports to senior management on financial performance, including inventory levels, sales, and cost of sales.
- Evaluating the profitability of product lines and the effects of price and cost alterations over time.
- Conduct profitability analysis and analyze cost structures for new products and projects, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Identifying and assessing cost-saving opportunities and offering recommendations to enhance profitability.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proven experience analyzing data to identify patterns and trends and providing commentary.
- Proven experience using data trends to influence strategic business decisions and making informed recommendations.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with various organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
