Senior/ Scientific Director – Medical Communications Agency I am currently partnering with an innovative agency looking for a Scientific Director to join their growing Medical Affairs/ Medical Education team. Role Overview: The Senior/ Scientific Director will act as a key scientific, editorial, and therapy area expert, providing strategic direction and overseeing a large client account. This leadership role requires overseeing the scientific team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional projects across a wide range of therapeutic areas. Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: Lead and manage client relationships Team Leadership: Mentor and develop the scientific team to support their growth with 4/5 direct line reports Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with client services and leadership to meet business goals. Strategic Insights: Provide creative and strategic guidance to influence client decisions. Market Knowledge: Deeply understand client products, therapy areas, and commercial strategies. Business Growth: Identify opportunities for growth and lead proposal development. Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets and ensure cost adherence. Quality Control: Maintain high medical writing standards and efficient processes. The Ideal Candidate: Degree in a scientific or medical field (PhD or Masters is a plus). Proven experience in medical communications across various therapeutic areas. In-depth understanding of the UK and European medical regulatory landscape. Strong knowledge of the drug development and commercialization process. A strategic mindset with the ability to work closely with client services teams to enhance relationships and business growth.
