We are seeking a highly skilled experienced and motivated Associate / Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Egis Transport Solutions MEPHFC Design Team with a focus on our Tunnels & Highways projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working on Tunnels & Highways projects and be a subject matter expert in both High Voltage & Low Voltage electrical services design and coordination.As an Associate / Lead Electrical Engineer you will be a senior member of the team and will be required to support the Associate Director who leads the MEPHFC team. You will lead and manage other engineers and be responsible for the delivery of electrical designs. We are looking for someone whos dedicated diligent and driven and will take this challenge head on being an important part of a dynamic team with big ambitions.This role may also include working on projects/bids internationally for Egis Transport Solution or other Egis subsidiaries.Responsibilities Lead & manage a small team of engineersDeputise for the Associate Director where requiredAct as technical authority for electrical power related mattersProduce HV LV and electrical building services designs including design reports technical specifications single line diagrams layouts calculations protection schemes maximum demand assessments load flow analysis earthing & bondingDevelop design from feasibility up to As BuiltDischarge safety responsibilities in relation to CDM Regulations Health and Safety legislationCarrying out design reviews and working to design assurance processesHelp to grow the team and develop its technical capabilityProvide mentorship to other engineers on the teamNurture a get it right first-time culture within the teamProduce and issue progress reportsPrepare & conduct presentations to colleagues clients and stakeholders etc.Provide on-site design support during the construction and T&C phases and assess safety practice during the worksQualifications Essential Degree in Electrical EngineeringMember of an engineering institute and has Engineering Council Professional RegistrationA subject matter expert in High Voltage Low Voltage and electrical building services design and coordinationAt least 15 years experience in the industryComprehensive knowledge of British Standards and RegulationsAbility to deliver work to a programme and budgetExcellent leadership skills and mentoring experienceAn ability to train and upskill team membersExpert communication organisation and collaboration abilitiesProficient at leading meetings and bater presenting to clients stakeholders colleagues subcontractors suppliers etc.Experience of supporting the organisation to build and growExcellent understanding of electrical systems from a technical design installation buildability and maintenance perspectiveKnowledge of engineering software tools including ETAP Trimble/Amtech Pro Design Dialux or ReluxKnowledge of procurement activities and lead timesBeing committed to professional development staying updated on industry trends best practices and emerging technologies integrating them into project designs as appropriateDesirable Knowledge of design stages and requirements e.g. fuq RIBA BSRIAExperience of working in an engineering production environmentExperience of multi-disciplinary design and coordination and the delivery of projects to a high quality throughout all design stagesExperience of working with 3D models in a BIM environmentExperience of producing technical notes reports specifications drawings schedules and calculationsAbility to find solutions to engineering problemsProven capability in managing design interfaces and integration processesExperience of design assurance requirements & ബന്ധ processesGood understanding of relevant legislation such as CDMGood knowledge of NEC contracts and project communicationsUnderstanding of project scopes requirements works information and excellent commercial awarenessAdditional Information We are committed to our planetIn each project we design engineer and operate we care deeply about the legacy were leaving behind.
