As a Communications and Marketing Officer for Clumber Park, you’ll be responsible for letting people know about the place, and how they can visit.  What it’s like to work here: Working alongside and reporting to the Senior Marketing & Communications Officer, you’ll be based in the Park Office at Clumber Park. The primary focus will be on Clumber Park, one of the National Trust’s most visited places with 650,000+ visitors a year. There will also be the opportunity to get involved with other Nottinghamshire portfolio properties, Mr Straw’s House in Worksop, and The Workhouse in Southwell. You’ll have full access to the National Trust’s Communications and Marketing Academy where you’ll find training, guidance, and best practice to support and fulfil your communications and marketing responsibilities. Communications and marketing at the Trust is made up of many different core areas which all play a vital role in delivering our cause; what we do and why we do it. Clumber Park is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath and woods covering more than 3,800 acres. Originally home to the Dukes of Newcastle, Clumber Park is steeped in history, with clues to its grand past dotted throughout the park. It is home to a splendid 83-acre serpentine lake, a 4-acre walled kitchen garden and a magnificent gothic Chapel. Providing the perfect backdrop for exploring, relaxing and spending time together, there’s something for every member of the family to enjoy. What you’ll be doing: We have an annual plan covering communications and marketing, and your role from will be to achieve what’s on that plan. We have some ambitious targets that you’ll be aiming at, including reaching new and diverse audiences, so there’s room for creativity and fresh ideas.   Your day-to-day work will cover things like creating new content on our web pages, and making sure that existing information remains relevant and accurate, running social media accounts, creating promotional materials and writing and distributing press releases.  You’ll be working closely with your colleagues on site and the Trusts regional advisers, known as consultants. You’ll be part of a team making sure that we’re sharing the best stories we can, with a focus on spreading the word about places to visit and letting people know about the Trust’s conservation work.  Who we’re looking for: We’d love to hear from you if you’re:  familiar and confident with various marketing techniques, including digital and social media  experienced in writing and speaking clearly  someone who puts people first, and understands why great customer service matters  skilled in working with IT (including Microsoft Office)  good at solving problems, and able to work on your own initiative  The package The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart.
