Senior Commercial Underwriter - Hybrid

Senior/Development Underwriter We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Senior/Development Underwriter to join our team at William Russell. The role – This is a hands-on role in which an experienced medical underwriter will play a key and influential role in supporting the digital transformation of our underwriting department. Your experience of the digital insurance world will balance with your good, traditional, pragmatic underwriting skills, and high levels of attention to detail, to ensure the company maintains a consistent and considered approach to risk management and mitigation, and meets our commercial objectives, while we continue our digital journey. Results oriented, with the ability to apply creative, analytical and mathematical skills to problem solving. Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive internal underwriting guides, including rule design and configuration. A high level of technical knowledge, including insurance, regulatory requirements and legal principles (would be preferable). Strong technical Underwriting skills and the ability to assess complex risks. About us – We’re William Russell—the expat insurance provider.
