My client is searching for a Private Client Solicitor or Fee Earner to join their growing firm based in Hove, East Sussex on a hybrid basis.
Role Purpose
- To manage all client work in accordance with the detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the firm’s Office Manual and associated policies.
- To ensure the successful development of the department and the firm in line with the business plan.
- To ensure the confidentiality and security of the firm’s clients, documents and information.
- To actively practise and promote the firm’s ethos and values, demonstrating our core competencies and encouraging the development of others in line with these.
Key tasks
- To ensure work is undertaken expeditiously and to a high standard.
- To keep clients regularly informed of the progress of their case and costs.
- To achieve agreed levels of billing.
- To undertake fee earning work and provide a profitable contribution to the work of the department.

Skills / Qualifications
- Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- Preferably 3 years’ PQE
- Experience to enable the individual to competently deal with client matters relating to the departmental specialism
- Ability to lead and develop junior lawyers and support staff
- In depth knowledge of wills, probate matters, trusts and tax
- STEP qualified an advantage
- IT skills (use of client matter databases e.g. LEAP)
