The predicted salary is between 45000 - 50000 £ per year.

We're looking for a great candidate to join our client's team to provide timely and accurate financial information to the CEO, Senior Management Team, and the Board, while ensuring the charity's financial compliance.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the CEO in delivering the organisation's financial objectives and operational plan.
  • Manage all financial and accounting functions, including ledgers, payroll, credit control, cash flow, and investments.
  • Provide budget forecasting, monitoring, and reporting on a monthly basis.
  • Lead, supervise, and manage the performance of the finance team.
  • Identify and manage key financial risks, suggesting controls to protect the organisation's funds and assets.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • CCAB qualification (ICAS, CIPFA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA) or working towards.
  • Substantial financial accounting experience within the last five years in a similar-sized SME.
  • Previous experience in hands-on management and development of a small finance team.
  • Highly computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
  • Good commercial acumen and sound business judgement.

Nice to haves:

  • Experienced user of Sage accounting software.
  • Knowledge of charitable/not-for-profit accounting and statutory reporting.
