Our client, a commercial vehicle fleet management company, is seeking HGV Technicians for day and night shifts to join their team. The ideal candidates will be working as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieves its objectives and targets.
Role: HGV Technicians
Salary: Day shift - £44,632 per annum; Night shift - £49,500 per annum
Hours: Day shift 4 on 4 off / Night shift 4 on 4 off
Location: Bristol
Key responsibilities:
- Ensuring quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair orders
- Ensuring work is quality assured and in accordance with standards and literature
- Maintaining working capacity of machines and tools
- Striving to achieve Rectification Ratio - Zero (right first time)
- Work closely with the VMU manager and communicate the number of parts and labour needed for additional repairs
- Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance
- Assure a clean and safe workshop at all times
Requirements:
- City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential
- Experience within a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs
- Practical understanding of using information technology and systems to deliver objectives
- Safety awareness and be committed to a right first-time ethos
- A flexible and can-do attitude with the ability to work in a team environment and on your own initiative
- HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred
- Experience with Tail lifts is desirable
