Our client has a permanent, full time vacancy for a Legal Assistant Wills, Trusts and Probate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, well-established Private Client team.
The primary duties of this role include but are not limited to:
- Process instructions relating to Estate Administration work in accordance with established procedures of both good practice and the firm’s quality system, along with exposure to Trust Administration matters.
- Taking all new business enquiries, recording these and completing the necessary administration to open files.
- Managing the Quill Wills administration.
- Dealing with all will and deed enquiries.
- Supporting the work generated by the Will Writers and ensuring accuracy of instructions received.
- Involvement in Residential care, Elderly and Vulnerable clients and IHT documentation.
- Assisting with the general administration of the department.
- Assist in marketing activities and maintain appropriate professional relationships with referrers.
Essential skills for this role include being able to work on your own initiative and assisting other members of the team. Attention to detail and excellent time management, a methodical approach to work, a professional, empathetic and attentive telephone manner along with first-rate communication skills, both written and verbal are all imperative to this role as client contact will be considerable, especially via the telephone.
