We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Energy Efficiency Surveyor for a temporary assignment within a busy public sector organisation in Bromsgrove/Redditch. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring all construction projects are carried out in accordance with the necessary guidelines and standards.

Our client is a medium-sized public sector organisation based in Bromsgrove/Redditch. They are committed to providing excellent service to the community and are involved in a range of construction projects across the borough.

Responsibilities:

  • Survey and assess residential social housing to identify improvement opportunities (e.g. insulation, glazing, heating upgrades)
  • Produce retrofit assessments in line with PAS2035 standards
  • EPC and Stock Surveys
  • Experienced within retrofit in social housing
  • Support the delivery of funded programmes (e.g. SHDF, ECO, LAD)
  • Carry out EPCs and energy modelling using approved tools/software
  • Advise tenants and internal teams on energy efficiency measures and potential outcomes
  • Work with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to monitor project delivery and performance
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and funding requirements, including MEES and Net Zero targets

Profile:

  • A degree in Building Surveying or an energy-related field.
  • Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA); Retrofit Assessor/Coordinator desirable
  • Proven experience in the construction industry, preferably within the public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using industry-specific software.
