Our key client based in Crawley are seeking a temporary Warehouse Operative to join their logistics team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of their warehouse, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
  • Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
  • Taking inventory and maintaining accurate records of the goods entering and leaving the warehouse.
  • Picking and packing orders with attention to detail.
  • Ensuring that all orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers’ timescales/requirements.
  • Operating handling equipment and ensuring safety regulations are followed.
  • Overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse and work area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working as a Warehouse Operative or similar role is preferred.
  • Good physical condition and stamina.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to accurately count inventory.
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Forklift license is advantageous but not essential.
