Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a highly acquisitional PE Backed Services business in the Wigan area as they search for a FP&A Manager. With great aspiration and a complex business plan, they have tripled their turnover in the last few years making this an incredibly sought after company to work for. This is a newly created position to assist them in their next phase of expansion.

Reporting to Finance Director, this will be a highly visible and commercial role where you will support the business with strategic financial models, reporting on financial performance and controlling the complete budgeting process. You will also work closely with senior leaders (including the CFO, wider finance and key stakeholders across the business) to deliver meaningful insights into business performance, trends, and risks.

The successful FP&A Manager can expect to:

  • Performance Analysis & Reporting, Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that impact financial performance.
  • Monitor and enhance KPIs, developing meaningful reporting and dashboards for the Board and Executive team.
  • Provide regular updates to management on financial performance against targets.
  • Lead and improve the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Business Partner with department heads to support budget ownership and management, planning and data analysis.
  • Build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
  • Present insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
  • Establish the FP&A function and take sole control to support the growth of the business.

This role would suit a commercial minded, data driven candidate, who wants to add value to a high level at a pivotal point within the company’s growth.

You will be:

  • CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified with PQE in FP&A/commercial finance.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Power BI skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
