I’m working with a rapidly growing food manufacturing business that prides itself on high standards, strong team culture, and a real commitment to quality. With continued investment and expansion, they’re now looking for a Factory Supervisor to join their operations team and help lead from the front on the shop floor.

The role:
Reporting to the Factory Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activity – ensuring KPIs are hit, processes run smoothly, and your team has everything they need to succeed. It’s a varied role that mixes people leadership with operational delivery and plenty of problem-solving.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting your team to consistently meet production targets
- Monitoring KPIs and driving performance improvements across the line
- Quickly identifying and escalating equipment or process issues
- Supporting the planning and coordination of daily operations
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, promoting a safety-first culture
- Ensuring adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and compliance procedures
- Coaching and developing staff, managing performance, and encouraging accountability
- Identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing waste
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (food, drink, or FMCG ideally)
- Strong people management skills with a practical, proactive approach
- Solid understanding of health & safety and quality compliance on the factory floor
- Confidence in identifying risks, solving problems, and making decisions under pressure
- A continuous improvement mindset – always looking for better, safer, more efficient ways to work
- Bonus: experience with lean manufacturing, ERP systems, or production software
