First Achieve's Engineering division is working with a reputable Engineering Services Contractor based in the Central Belt, currently seeking to strengthen their Contracts Delivery Team with an Installation Electrician. This is an excellent opportunity for a time-served electrician who is self-motivated, has strong communication skills, and has a background in industrial installations, ideally within the water treatment or utilities sector. You'll be involved in a range of upgrade projects on clean and wastewater treatment sites, primarily supporting the Scottish Water network.

Responsibilities:

  • Install field equipment, containment, and cabling to specification
  • Gland, terminate, and test installed cables prior to energisation
  • Interpret and work from electrical design drawings, cable block diagrams, and specifications
  • Conduct site surveys and produce reports for project engineers
  • Split working time between on-site installations and the company's East Kilbride facility
  • Collaborate with project engineers, mechanical fitters, and commissioning staff to deliver high-quality installations

Requirements:

  • 18th Edition wiring regulations certification (BS7671)
  • Time-served electrical background with industrial experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and site documentation
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Confident working both independently and within a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • HNC in Electrical Engineering
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing
  • Experience working on Scottish Water or similar industrial projects
