Liberty Steel Group have an opportunity for an electrically biased maintenance technician to join us at our Rotherham site as a Crane Technician. You will report to the shift leader supporting the efficient operation of the electrical function of the team.

The Role of the Electrician Crane Technician:
- Predominantly the Crane Technician - Electrical role will be Pre Planned Maintenance
- The Crane Electrician will also be required to assist with reactive works, when necessary, on shift
- PPM will include servicing, calibration and being a key part of the modernisation and overhaul of around 145 cranes across multiple disciplines of the business.
- While the reactive element of the job will ensure no two days are ever the same.
Requirements of the Electrician Crane Technician:
- HNC / BTEC Level 4 although applicants with a ONC / Level 3 will still be considered for this role.
- Electrical Maintenance is essential
- Having 18th Edition would be very advantageous.
- Crane experience
- Electrical must have a recognised Electrical qualification.
- The ability to read and understand electrical drawings
- Experience of fault finding down to component level
- Good working safety practices
- A methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solving is essential as is adaptability and willingness to think outside of the box when needed.
The Working Pattern of the Electrical Crane Technician:
This role is 8-hour day shift working pattern, with some weekend work on a rota basis.
