My client is a completely tech-driven proprietary trading firm, looking to expand their Application Support team, and would like someone with prior front office experience to provide technical support and engineering functions in support of their proprietary and third-party trading systems. This role will be highly technical with a large focus on automation!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure readiness of the global trading platform for both pre-trading and post-trading activities.
- Monitor and support the entire transaction flow across the trading platform.
- Promptly identify, analyse, and resolve alerts and issues, or escalate them to minimize disruptions in trade flow and prevent outages.
- Collaborate extensively with the trading community, back office operations, brokers, exchanges, development teams, and infrastructure teams.
- Supervise automated processes, scheduled jobs, and routine reports.
- Create tooling and automate processes where necessary to optimise workflows/inefficiencies.
- Liaise with Dev and Infrastructure teams to coordinate and participate in software/new version releases.
The right candidate will have the following:
- 3+ years experience supporting front office applications/trading systems.
- Strong scripting/development ability in 1 or more languages (Python) - Must have.
- Strong understanding of Linux OS - Must have.
- SQL experience.
- Experience with KDB is a +.
- Degree in computer science or related field.
