We're working with a proactive council in Berkshire seeking an experienced inspector to support and lead on a range of complex developments across the region. Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake inspections on more complex buildings, including higher-risk and mixed-use developments.
  • Provide expert advice to developers, architects, and contractors to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and BSR expectations.
  • Support gateway reviews and assist with the safety case process in collaboration with the BSR where required.
  • Mentor and support junior staff and contribute to technical reviews and team training sessions.
  • Engage in early-stage consultations and design team meetings to provide proactive compliance advice.
Requirements:
  • Registered with the Building Safety Regulator at Class 2F.
  • Proven Building Control experience with a strong technical understanding of complex building types.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation, especially in relation to fire safety and structure.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel across the Berkshire area.
