Job Opportunity: Residential Caretaker (SW17 - Tooting Bec Area)
Location: Private Residential Development, Tooting Bec (SW17)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £31,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Caretaker to support a residential development in the Tooting Bec area. This is a great opportunity for someone with a friendly, proactive approach who takes pride in keeping their environment clean, safe, and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm, courteous presence for residents, visitors, and contractors
- Monitor site access and challenge unauthorised individuals when necessary
- Log and report any maintenance issues or building defects to management
- Carry out light maintenance tasks (e.g., bulb changes, gardening, painting)
- Conduct weekly fire alarm testing and routine lighting inspections
- Ensure communal areas are tidy and free of obstructions at all times
- Manage contractor access and sign-in procedures
- Check and distribute mail, notices, and communications as required
- Keep resident notice boards up to date and presentable
- Maintain drains, gutters, and surrounding property cleanliness
- Use a company-provided phone to respond to resident queries during working hours
Ideal Candidate:
- Presentable, professional, and customer-service focused
- Confident managing site access and dealing with residents/contractors
- Basic handyman/maintenance skills (DIY, light repairs, etc.)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
