The Role
Based at our modern Head Office in Huddersfield with hybrid working options, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our Architectural Design Team, comprising Architects, Technologists, and Technicians of varying experience, from university graduates to seasoned and fully qualified professionals. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, the team handles multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from large-scale new build residential developments to complex recladding schemes of high-rise tower blocks.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing technical design drawings for all RIBA Work Stages on new build and refurbishment residential schemes, including high-profile high-rise and large new build projects.
- Producing Revit models from concept design through to construction documentation.
- Managing multiple projects concurrently, producing working drawings and specifications, and reviewing work drafted by others.
- Preparing planning, building control, and construction issue drawing packages.
- Attending and chairing client design meetings.
- Site visits and liaising with contractors, providing technical advice as needed.
Ideal Candidate
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Revit proficiency is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience in a design office environment.
- Knowledge of construction technical standards.
- Understanding of building and planning regulations/procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both in the office and remotely.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills.
- A team player with a proactive approach to project management.
- Experience with refurbishment of high-risk buildings is desirable.
- Part 2 Architectural Assistant working towards Part 3 or Architectural Technologist working towards MCIAT.
