Job Description

Join a dynamic, values-led team as the new Social Value Advisor, where you’ll be instrumental in driving social impact and broader ESG excellence across a diverse portfolio of construction projects. This is a unique opportunity to be the face of social value for a major construction group – shaping community outcomes, engaging stakeholders, and embedding meaningful change in sustainability and stakeholder engagement.

What you’ll do:

Lead Social Value Initiatives

• Develop and deliver programs that create tangible community benefits – enhancing social outcomes throughout project lifecycles.

• Forge strong relationships with local groups, charities, and supply‐chain partners to maximise positive social impact.

Champion ESG Delivery

• Design, implement, and track ESG activities on site – ensuring social value, environmental, and governance commitments are met and measurable.

• Work with project teams to integrate sustainability best practices and compliance requirements into day-to-day operations.

Elevate Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate closely with clients, project leads, and external partners to align social value strategies and ESG goals with client expectations.

• Serve as the go-to advisor, presenting clear, compelling ESG and social-value narratives during stakeholder workshops and meetings.

Support Work Winning & Reporting

• Contribute to bid content – demonstrating the business’s social value credentials alongside wider ESG strengths in tenders and proposals.

• Analyse ESG and social-value data to generate engaging reports that showcase performance, lessons learned, and community impact.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in social value, CSR, sustainability, or ESG – ideally within construction, infrastructure, or related industries.

• Deep understanding of social value frameworks (e.g., Social Value Portal, PSR, NCVS) and ESG reporting standards.

• Relationship‐building skills: you can influence cross-functional teams, community stakeholders, and clients.

• Outstanding communication and organisational abilities – able to juggle multiple workstreams, deadlines, and reporting requirements.

• A genuine passion for driving positive change, combined with a collaborative, proactive mindset.
