The role:
As an Aircraft Technician, youâll have a role thatâs out of the ordinary. Assisting in the ground movement of aircraft and carrying out Flight-line operations.
Day-to-day, youâll have the following responsibilities:
- Carry out Flight-line operations i.e. Preparation of aircraft for daily flying, âsee-inâ and âsee-offâ, fuel and oil replenishment, Daily Check A maintenance.
- Undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the LAFT Aircraft fleet.
- Pre-use checks and Scheduled Maintenance of Company owned Ground Support Equipment.
- Complete âallâ documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedure.
This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Benson.
Essential experience of the Aircraft Technician:
- Aware of the MOD or Civilian Engineering procedures/documentation.
- Experience of the Aviation industry; this can include work through college or university placements.
Qualifications for the Aircraft Technician:
- Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, Military experience or NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) and DBS security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
