Responsible for all aspects of engineering on site and overseeing Setting-out engineers and Sub-contractors and responsible for Temporary works on site.
The Project: A Β£200 Million Residential superstructure will provide 462 apartments within seven new blocks. The tallest block, on the corner of West Cromwell and Warwick Road, rises to 33-storeys, making it one of the tallest buildings in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea! The new-build blocks are founded on top of an existing multi-storey car park, which will remain operational during the significant strengthening and alteration works needed to existing structure. In addition to the new homes, the West Cromwell Road scheme will deliver commercial and retail space along with public realm improvements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintaining up to date construction drawing racks and register
- Checking and surveying the Existing services prior to the start of the job
- Checking coordination and dimensional checks on Architectural and Structural drawings
- Checking building layout in relation to site boundary
- Carrying out site surveys
- Surveying existing buildings and drainage
- Overall responsibility for setting out all elements and controlling line and level
- Oversee Temporary Works on site
- Checking the reinforcement (part of pre-pour QA)
- Level surveying and slab edge surveying after the concrete pour
- QA for frame works and cube testing
- Checking formwork and temporary work against design by others
- Ordering all RC frame materials (concrete, rebar, halfens etc.)
- Ordering the groundwork materials (drainage & waterproofing)
- As built survey for lift shaft, stairwell and up stands for subcontractors
- Resolving any setting out problems and raise and track RFIs
- General responsibilities for site safety
- Use 4 Projects and Fieldview
Weβre Looking For:
- BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Temporary Works accreditation along with being Competent in all aspects of temporary works with a detailed understanding of quality control and construction safety
- Field view Experience
- Ability to use 4 Projects and read/communicate drawing
