I am pleased to be supporting my client in the recruitment of a Tax Advisor on a 12 month FTC. My client is a large Insurance business based in the City of London. Reporting into a Senior Tax Manager, your role will be to undertake tax compliance and reporting for the group. Ideally, you will have experience of working for an insurance or Financial Services business. The role is 3 days office and 2 home.

Role overview:

  • To prepare the annual UK corporation tax returns end to end; including group relief with support from Assistant Tax Advisor
  • To make timely CTSA payments
  • To prepare tax disclosures for UK and group and subsidiary statutory accounts at both year end and half year periods
  • Support senior tax manager on quarterly tax reporting
  • To assist in the preparation of syndicate returns and information submitted to Lloyd's
  • To manage Assistant Tax Advisor in respect of operational taxes including certificates of residence
  • To establish and maintain effective working relationships with third parties and internal stakeholders
  • To support the Senior Tax Manager and work with external advisors
  • Provide support to the rest of Group Tax for other projects and business initiatives as required

Experience, knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Qualified tax adviser or accountant, formally or by experience.
  • Insurance industry or financial services industry experience is preferred.
  • International experience would be helpful.
  • Tax computation software experience.
  • Advanced numeric and analytical skills.
