About the client
Morgan Law is seeking an interim Senior Capital Accountant for a government organisation in London.
Accountabilities
- Assisting on:
- Capital: Budget setting, reviewing and monitoring
- Capital: Improving the systems and procedures for monitoring and reporting on capital
- Fixed Assets: Improving various systems and processes to make fixed asset accounting more efficient and less time consuming
- Fixed Assets: Addressing audit issues raised to do with how capital and fixed assets have been treated in the past
- Fixed Assets: Installing dedicated system for fixed asset accounting
- General: Year end closure for both Capital and Fixed Assets and prepare for IFRS 16
Candidate Requirements
- CCAB or CIMA Qualified with post qualification finance / accounting experience (E)
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Strong Capital Accounting experience in a local authority setting (E)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience working for a local authority (E)
- Immediately available for work (E)
