Onboarding Manager
Our public sector client is looking for a number of Onboarding Mangers to join them to provide efficient and effective resourcing support across the service e.g., internal resourcing, external resourcing and people operations. This role will work flexibly across the functions to meet the demand on the service.
You will be responsible for delivering a professional onboarding service to candidates and hiring managers, that ensures a high-quality candidate/manager journey for the onboarding stages of the recruitment lifecycle.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven record of establishing, building and maintaining strong, collaborative and productive relationships across functional and organisational boundaries, at all levels required
- Ability to organise workload, to prioritise, and manage rapidly changing demands and priorities
- Ability to focus on delivery of outcomes, be proactive, work under pressure and respond quickly and decisively to changing circumstances and to tight deadlines
Day to day
- Support Strategic Resourcing to deliver a pro-active, tailored, and expert onboarding service to hiring managers, ensuring candidates and managers are kept informed throughout the onboarding process.
- Provide a positive candidate experience / journey: Ensure candidates have a positive onboarding experience (building blocks: build positive relationship, regular touchpoints, care, street to seat, onboarding)
- Flag concerns from onboarding checks to Recruitment Managers and agreeing additional actions where intervention needed.
- Taking a pro-active, professional, and empathetic approach for candidates who met the DCS criteria. This will include:
- Contacting candidates to discuss workplace adjustments.
- Communicating these needs to the business area and ensuring that adjustments are made.
- Quality assuring Planner cards submitted by RMs.
- Call candidates to arrange start dates when all onboarding checks and SC are in place.
- Liaising with managers to confirm start dates are suitable.
- Providing management oversight of the onboarding process, including data for the weekly field starters
- Variety of administrative tasks to maintain service delivery, including communications with internal and external stakeholders.
