We are looking for a brand-new Warehouse Operative to join a very stable and well-established company based in the Maylands area in Hemel Hempstead. This is a very well-known company with products and services that you will no doubt have come across previously, and this warehouse team drives the international orders/shipping side of the business.

You will be working in a very friendly and supportive team, with full training provided. This is ideal for someone looking to get into a warehouse type position where you will be handling the picking/packing of orders, quality checking stock, as well as other core duties, including some computer-based work linked to the role.

Hours of work would be Monday to Friday with a fixed shift pattern of 8am to 5pm. A starting salary of £26k is on offer, plus paid overtime and a generous discount scheme on their products amongst other benefits as part of the package. This is a permanent and full-time position, and due to the nature of the role, you will be 100% based on-site in the Hemel Hempstead, Maylands site.

What to expect day to day:

  • Picking/Packing orders.
  • Quality checking stock, ensuring that it is of the highest quality condition.
  • Processing Customer Returns.
  • Putting away deliveries of stock on time and in order.
  • Communicating clearly with all other departments and colleagues.
  • Must be Computer Literate, but full training will be given.
  • Reporting any issues to the Warehouse Manager.

What do we need from you:

  • Some basic computer skills are needed, but full training will be given.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse, specifically also using scanners/pump trucks is ideal.
  • The ability to lift up to 25kg is essential to the role.
  • Not essential - But a fork lift licence and AS400 knowledge would be a big advantage.
  • Right to live and work full time in the UK.
