An opportunity exists for an experienced Designer or Project Manager from a Design Manager or RIBA background to join Monaghans to work as a Principal Designer and Client advisor in the Retail, Leisure, Commercial and Residential sectors throughout England & Wales.

The role is to help implement the new duty holder roles created under the Building Safety Act 2022 and The Building Regulations.

  • Provide Principal Designer (Building Regulations) and Client Advisor services to our clients.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills are an advantage to chair online and in person workshops with designers and design sub-contractors, to help them comply with their new duty holder roles.
  • The candidate will also be responsible for delivering training for other team members to train them in building regulation compliance and management.
  • Management support for training and development of others to carry out building regulations compliance checks and management.
  • Provide Building Safety Act consultancy advice and Client advisor services to clients to help them comply with their duties.

Candidates should have RIBA, MRICS or similar design qualifications with a working knowledge of Building Regulations Approved Documents. Successful candidates will be offered excellent career development opportunities supported by our varied and challenging workload.

  • Strong IT capabilities including working experience of Microsoft Office and online workshop chairing skills.
