Our Aerospace customer wishes to implement an independent inspection, with the following being required:
• Visually inspect castings at the customer facility, focusing on specific set of part numbers as provided by the customer.
• Inspect each part based upon a defined set of characteristics
• Manage a weekly estimated volume of approximately 250-300 castings.
• Documents all inspection activity via a Verify provided Inspection Record.
• Document any non-conformities and raise them to an appropriate customer point of contact.
• Provide bi-weekly detailed reports on inspection findings.
Required skills and experience:
• Minimum of 3-years previous experience within an aerospace / defence manufacturing environment, specifically within inspection-based roles
• Hands-on visual inspection experience, including the use of magnifiers and other inspection aids.
• Experience of castings highly advantageous.
• Proficiency with mechanical inspection equipment (should dimensional verification be required)
• Knowledge of containment processes and procedures
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise workload to meet business needs.
