This full-time position offers a four-day work week (8:30 am – 6:30 pm) with one in four Saturdays, but flexible working options are available to suit your needs. Join a beautifully refurbished small animal practice nestled in the leafy suburbs of Liverpool.

This practice is committed to fostering long-lasting relationships with clients and their beloved pets, ensuring continuity of care and a personal touch. The practice boasts an experienced and dedicated nursing and client care team, whose knowledge, wisdom, and wit are invaluable assets. The workload is fairly distributed among the entire vet team, including the practice owners, ensuring a supportive and respectful environment.

The practice features separate areas for cats and rabbits, both in the waiting room and when hospitalised, and is proud to have achieved Green status. Special interests are encouraged, with visiting specialists in ultrasonography, cardiology, orthopaedics, and soft-tissue surgery. Whether you have a specific interest or prefer a consult-only role, the case load is available to support your professional growth.

Situated in the heart of a vibrant community, the practice is surrounded by green parks and charming independent eateries. Work-life balance is a priority, with breaks throughout the day factored into the rota, allowing time to discuss cases, relax with a cup of tea, or simply recharge. Regular well-being meetings ensure continuous support for your work-life balance.

The role offers a full-time position with a four-day week and a set day off each week, or a part-time position with three days per week. Additional benefits include no out-of-hours or bank holiday cover, 6.6 weeks of holiday inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata), a CPD allowance of three days and £1500 per annum (negotiable, with certificates encouraged), RCVS and BVA fees paid, staff discounts, and a cycle-to-work scheme. Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
