PingPong is on a mission to digitize trade, simplifying global growth for businesses. Now, we’re scaling and looking for a BD Director to own the strategy, pipeline, and partnerships that will power our next phase of growth.
Our international presence helps businesses solve complex payment needs in every major economy across all time zones. You’ve got the commercial sharpness to close complex deals. This position will report directly to the Business Development Lead. You’ll partner closely with our local Compliance, Product, Marketing and operations teams to build a cohesive user journey that delivers the right product to the right users, at the right time.
Build and execute our BD strategy across the UK with a focus on financial institutions, platforms and enterprise clients. Maintain a high-quality pipeline across identified target verticals, focusing on high-impact deals, and think through supporting business development strategies. Own the full sales cycle for closing new partners – from sourcing and qualification to leading the definition of the solution for the partner and negotiating the commercials, all the way through to go-live. Lead commercial and legal negotiations with C-level execs. Be the voice of the UK market internally – and help drive what comes next.
Track record in BD, partnerships, or enterprise sales in fintech or financial services: ~8+ years of progressive experience in closing complex, high-value deals with financial institutions or regulated entities. ~ Strategic thinker, hands-on doer, data-driven operator. ~ Able to speak the language of product, compliance, and commercial teams. Educated with a relevant degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus. Equally at home in both strategic planning and hands-on execution, ideally with experience in start-up/scale-up as well as larger organisations.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute high-impact business development strategies. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills – able to influence internal and external stakeholders.
