Roles: Senior IT Support Officer & IT Support Officer

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 approx.

We’re seeking a Senior IT Technical Support Officer and an IT Support Officer to join a desktop support team and ensure the smooth operation of end-user computing systems. What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing deployment, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems (Windows 10/11) and applications (Microsoft 365 suite).
  • Ensuring endpoint devices are secure, patched, and compliant with internal policies and industry standards.
  • Maintaining accurate hardware/software asset inventories and overseeing procurement and warranty support.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral issues, including root cause analysis and preventive actions.
  • Using tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or MDT for desktop management and automated deployment.
  • Documenting configurations, procedures, and best practices, and delivering training to staff as required.
What we’re looking for:
  • Demonstrable experience in desktop support, deployment, and imaging in large enterprise environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate IT support staff in a fast-paced setting (Senior role).
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Hands-on experience with desktop management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM).
  • Familiarity with virtual desktop platforms (e.g., RDS, VMware Horizon, Citrix).
  • Strong understanding of desktop security controls and patching best practices.
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management principles and IT compliance frameworks.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
