We’re seeking a Senior IT Technical Support Officer and an IT Support Officer to join a desktop support team and ensure the smooth operation of end-user computing systems. What you’ll be doing:- Managing deployment, configuration, and maintenance of desktop systems (Windows 10/11) and applications (Microsoft 365 suite).
- Ensuring endpoint devices are secure, patched, and compliant with internal policies and industry standards.
- Maintaining accurate hardware/software asset inventories and overseeing procurement and warranty support.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral issues, including root cause analysis and preventive actions.
- Using tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or MDT for desktop management and automated deployment.
- Documenting configurations, procedures, and best practices, and delivering training to staff as required.
- Demonstrable experience in desktop support, deployment, and imaging in large enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate IT support staff in a fast-paced setting (Senior role).
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Hands-on experience with desktop management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM).
- Familiarity with virtual desktop platforms (e.g., RDS, VMware Horizon, Citrix).
- Strong understanding of desktop security controls and patching best practices.
- Knowledge of ITIL service management principles and IT compliance frameworks.
- Full UK driving licence required.
