Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager with a track record of delivering large-scale, complex ICT programmes? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where you can shape digital transformation and strategic outcomes? We’re looking for an expert in leading multi-stream technology initiatives who can align projects with organisational goals and influence senior stakeholders across the board. This role is hybrid - 3 days on site per week.

About the Role

You’ll play a pivotal role in successfully managing multiple high-impact ICT projects and programmes. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll drive project governance, shape strategic direction, and ensure successful delivery within agreed timescales, budgets, and benefits. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as you will collaborate with technical teams, business users, and external suppliers, ensuring alignment with long-term goals and sector best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with complex technical requirements and strategic impact.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, establish governance, and drive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment with business strategy.
  • Track and forecast project finances, risks, and benefits.
  • Influence change and continuous improvement in project delivery practices.
  • Communicate effectively across departments using a variety of platforms and formats.

About You

You’ll be a confident leader with a passion for technology and transformation. You'll have experience navigating ambiguity, managing dependencies, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels to drive results.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g. PRINCE2 Practitioner, equivalent PM qualification).
  • Significant experience managing complex, large-scale projects or programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes in structured and ambiguous settings.
  • Strong budget management and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, MS Project, and Project Online.

Desirable Skills

  • Agile and MSP methodologies.
  • Public sector procurement experience (e.g., OJEU).
  • ITIL Foundation, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Understanding of higher education and large enterprise IT infrastructure.
