An opportunity to join a friendly manufacturing team in Yate with a growing order book as a mechanical fitter, pump fitter, equipment assembler. This is in a workshop environment building equipment for a range of customers, reporting to the workshop supervisor you will receive full training on the company's range of equipment.
The mechanical fitter, pump fitter, equipment assembler role involves:
- Assembling high-volume water pump systems and associated components
- Following technical drawings and build specifications
- Completing work in a timely manner to meet the equipment build timeline
- Extensive use of conventional hand and power tools
- Electrical wiring and connection of pre-built wiring looms and connectors
- Knowledge of 12v / 15v equipment for wiring DC motors
- Functional testing and fault finding to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Completing necessary QC paperwork following successful test procedures
- Identifying and reporting any non-conformities or potential improvements in the assembly process
