Job Purpose

To wire and fit electrical components onto machinery to customer specifications, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Main Duties

  • Electrical Wiring: Wiring junction boxes, conduits, basket trays, 3-phase motors, power/control systems, safety switches, and various on-machine devices using schematic drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Assisting with setup/testing of finished equipment; completing test records; using electrical equipment to check and set components.
  • Assembly Processes: Installing electrical systems and components; performing minor mechanical fitting tasks as required.
  • Team Collaboration: Working within planned timelines; providing feedback on process/machine improvements; assisting other sections as needed.
  • Customer Support: Occasional on-site work for installation/commissioning or Customer Services teams.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintaining a tidy workspace; adhering to Health & Safety policies; registering daily time via ERP system.

Candidate Profile

  • Recognized electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with the latest electrical regulations.
  • Experience in machine wiring and fitting electrical systems.
  • Methodical approach; attention to quality and detail.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work well within a team environment.
