Senior Application Architect – Cloud Services Permanent | Remote-first with occasional Birmingham visits | Up to £100k + 10–15% bonus + car allowance A leading digital transformation and IT services business is hiring a Senior Application Architect to take ownership of solution design across complex software programmes. Whether shaping the integration of legacy APIs at scale or creating reusable toolkits for rapid deployment, your work will underpin mission-critical national projects. Lead architectural design across large-scale cloud-based and software solutions. Guide development teams and ensure solutions meet security, scalability, and performance standards. Strong background in application and cloud architecture (AWS or Azure – open to both). Prior hands-on experience in software engineering (e.g. development background). Proven ability to work across MSPs, IT Services, or consultancy environments . Involved in large-scale, nationally visible projects Flexible working – remote-first setup with occasional site visits only. Massive scope to shape internal standards and grow digital architecture practice from within. This role would suit a Solutions Architect or Application Architect who thrives at the intersection of delivery, design, and stakeholder communication.
