A leading independent Lloyd's broker is recruiting for a Senior Finance Accountant to fill a newly created role within their team following a period of sustained growth. This role has been created to support the CFO and their deputy in the Finance and Technical Processing division of the Group in the ongoing production of high-quality management information to the senior management of the Group and ensure the continued delivery of robust financial control.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Assisting with the production of the Group's year-end financial statements
  • Preparation of the Group's annual budget
  • Production of regulatory returns for the Group's subsidiary companies (e.g. FCA's RMAR, Resilience report)
  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Client money reconciliations
  • Maintenance and review of fixed assets' registers
  • Production of VAT returns

Applicants must be qualified accountants with relevant experience gained within the insurance industry, have familiarity with the CASS (Client Money) rulebook (specifically chapter 5 highly desirable) and possess strong excel / systems skills.
