We need a proper Air Conditioning Engineer who enjoys solving problems. You’ll be covering the M3/M4 corridor – like Reading, Basingstoke, Slough – with the occasional trip into London when needed. You will be working in corporate offices, managed properties, retail support sites, and even the odd data centre – you’ll be keeping them cool and running smoothly.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

You’ll be carrying out planned maintenance, diagnosing those inevitable faults, and repairing a range of commercial AC systems – mostly VRV, VRF, and splits from the likes of Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric. It’s a mobile role, but kit gets delivered straight to site and you’ll travel from home. You’ll manage your own time, fill in your tablet-based reports, and crack on with the job without someone breathing down your neck. No on-call rota. Rare out-of-hours callouts. And a team that knows what they’re doing.

What You’ll Need to Have

  • F-Gas Category 1 (2079) – no exceptions
  • Solid experience with VRV/VRF and split systems in commercial settings
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A CSCS card in your wallet
  • Based within a reasonable distance of the M3/M4 corridor
  • Confident working solo with a good head for diagnostics
  • Bonus points if you’ve got NVQ Level 3 in RAC, data centre experience, or know your way around Daikin’s Service Checker

What’s In It For You

  • £45,000 – £48,000 salary
  • Flexible start/finish times
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Company van (available for personal use too – just cover the fuel on long trips)
  • Tablet, phone, uniform, tools, fuel card – all provided
  • No on-call rota (we mentioned that already, but it’s worth repeating)
  • Discretionary Christmas bonus
  • Training & development if you want it

What’s Next

If this sounds like your kind of gig, don’t overthink it – send us whatever version of your CV you’ve got and we’ll take it from there.
