Scrap Metal Quality Inspector

Location: Ellesmere Port

Employment Type: Full time, permanent

Salary: £Negotiable depending on experience

Hours: 07:00-17:00 Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and monitor the quality of ferrous scrap materials.
• Ensure all products meet agreed specifications and internal standards
• Conduct regular sampling and testing of materials
• Maintain detailed inspection records and reports
• Identify and report quality issues or non-conformances
• Support continuous improvement and the development of quality procedures
• Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in quality control or inspection essential.
• Previous experience working in the scrap metal industry highly advantageous.
• Understanding of ferrous scrap grades and relevant specifications preferred but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple locations
• Good IT skills for record keeping

Package Details:

• Permanent full-time role
• 07:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
• 23 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
