The Business Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis effort on software and service delivery projects. This role facilitates the end-to-end requirements process and ensures the final solution meets both business and regulatory needs. Working as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, the Business Analyst validates, documents, and drives the implementation of effective, standards-compliant solutions. This position requires high levels of motivation, organization, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks within a dynamic, project-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • People: Actively engages in personal development and continuous performance improvement. Participates in learning and development activities in line with role objectives. Contributes to a positive team environment, adding value across the wider business analysis function.
  • Customer: Provides support and direction to project teams, ensuring business requirements are met during solution development. Leads or participates in client workshops to gather detailed requirements and understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities. Supports and occasionally leads client presentations to share progress and findings.
  • Financial: Contributes to the preparation and validation of cost estimates outlined in Solution Definition Documents. Monitors and reviews estimates throughout the project lifecycle, escalating variances as necessary.
  • Process: Assists in defining project scope and approach alongside Business Consultants and Project Managers. Leads the elicitation, validation, and prioritization of business and system requirements. Ensures traceability of requirements and manages change through the project lifecycle. Conducts gap and defect analysis, identifying areas for product or process enhancement. Produces use cases, process maps, and other supporting documentation to guide project delivery. Supports the transition of completed projects into Business-as-Usual operations. Collaborates with senior analysts to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • BCS Business Analysis certification.
  • Understanding of project management principles and tools.
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
