The role of the Area Sales Manager β Roofing Sheet, Rooflights and Roofing Accessories will involve:
- Field sales role, selling companyβs distributed range of Roofing Sheet, Rooflights and Roofing Accessories
- Promoting huge portfolio of products such as Tile, Ridge and Eaves Vents, Valley Troughs, Joining Gutters, Abutment Soakers, Dry Fix Roofing Systems, Roofing Membranes, Polycarbonate Roofing Sheet, PVC Roofing Sheet, Bitumen Roofing Sheet, Flat Glazing, Dome Rooflights, Flat Glass Rooflights, and Hygienic Cladding
- Selling into 70% builders merchants and 30% roofing merchants
- Typically 20% nationals and 80% independent merchants and buying group members
- Responsible for circa 200+ builders merchants/ roofing merchants accounts, although you will only visit the accounts with a minimum Β£2,000 turnover β circa 80 merchants (remainder looked after by customer services)
- Inherit a turnover between Β£3m-Β£4m, currently performing in line with budget expectations
- Working for a market leading national plastics distributor
- Launching a wide range of new products, so large scope for business development within existing and new accounts with these products
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager β Plumbing, Drainage and Builders Merchants with:
- Must have sold to builders merchants or roofing merchants
- Open to all building product backgrounds
- Strong business development and relationships building skills
- High energy levels, go getter with raw enthusiasm
- Knock on doors mentality
- Attitude of wishing to progress in career
- Ideally have 2-3 years proven field sales territory management experience
- Specific knowledge of Roofing Sheet, Rooflights and Roofing Accessories is not required
- CRM proficient, high level of ability in terms of numeracy, IT capability, communication & organisational skills
