The UK arm of a leading multi-national healthcare business is seeking a high-impact finance leader to head up its Commercial Finance function. With an emphasis on performance insight, business partnering and forward planning, this is a key leadership role at the heart of a complex business.
Reporting to the UK & Ireland Finance Director, the Head of Commercial Finance will lead on all aspects of controlling, reporting, forecasting and financial planning across 4 business units and will play a key role in driving simplification and ongoing improvement in business processes around reporting and forecasting. This role partners closely with the Executive Leadership Team, playing a strategic role in enabling sound decision-making across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and delivery of accurate financial and management reporting
- Driving the planning cycle—budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategy
- Designing and improving business models that inform commercial strategy
- Partnering senior stakeholders to manage costs and improve financial performance
- Leading P&L and balance sheet reviews to tight deadlines
- Producing board-level packs and providing clear financial commentary
- Managing the Commercial Finance team, developing capability and succession planning
- Ensuring systems, controls, and data integrity support high-quality insight and compliance
- Driving ongoing simplification and transformation in reporting and forecasting processes
Commercially astute qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with at least 5 years’ PQE. Strong technical grounding in UK GAAP/IFRS and advanced Excel/SAP skills. Proven experience in FP&A, reporting and commercial business partnering. Confident communicator and influencer at senior level. Strong leadership skills and experience managing high-performing teams.
