Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Electrical QS

Reports To: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans, bills of quantities (BoQs), and tender documents for M&E packages.
• Manage procurement, including the preparation of tender and contract documentation.
• Conduct cost analysis, risk management, and value engineering exercises.
• Assess contractor and subcontractor valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Monitor project budgets and report on cost performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project teams in contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
• Provide accurate cost forecasting and financial reporting to senior management.
• Ensure all works comply with Austrian and EU building and safety regulations.
• Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and project management teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 2 years in M&E-focused roles.
• Proven experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, or data centre projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
• Familiarity with FIDIC, NEC, or other standard forms of contract.
• Excellent command of English; German proficiency is an advantage (or willingness to learn).
• Proficiency in cost management software (e.g. CostX, Cubit, Excel).
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
