Purpose of the role

The purpose of this roll will be to fully own the payroll and expense functions, working closely with the HR department. The role is the first line of communications both internally and externally for payroll. This role will report directly to Finance Manager and requires the ability to prioritise effectively, combined with good communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to high quality work.  

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities 

•\\tProcess 2 company payrolls every pay period, from start to BACs transmission.

•\\tMaintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data

•\\tComputes employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes

•\\tRespond and resolve queries from employees and management relating to payroll

•\\tAdheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant law and regulations 

•\\tIdentifies, investigates, and resolves discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records

•\\tHonour's confidentiality of employees’ pay records

•\\tLiaison with HMRC

•\\tCompletes payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review

•\\tPrepare P11D/PSA for manager review 

•\\tResolve audit queries related to payroll 

•\\tCollect, prepare and process employees cash expenses, credit card expenses 

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience

•\\tPrevious payroll experience is essential.

•\\tKnowledge of APD iHCM is preferable.

•\\tExcellent use of MS Office 365 – Outlook, Word and good Excel skills  

•\\tGreat attention to detail and efficient processing skills

•\\tDriven and self-sufficient 

•\\tAbility to work independently or collaboratively 

•\\tStrong communication skill and ability to maintain good relationships.

•\\tAble to build reports, transfer and interpret data, with a high attention to detail for accuracy. 

•\\tBe highly organised and being able to prioritize their time effectively in completing administration tasks as and when required.

•\\tA good commercial acumen, articulate and clear communicator.

•\\tNeeds to be a great team player, with a high flexible approach to their day and able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines 

•\\tTeam Player with the willingness to get stuck in and hands on. 

•\\tProblem Solver

•\\tProactive can do attitude.  

General

•\\tThe role will be based at our UK Head Office in Hayes, Middlesex.

•\\tThe role will be within the current 40 hours per week. 

•\\tPart time temporary role for 9 months.
