An opportunity for a Senior Buyer to get involved in a range of diverse projects across a number of indirect areas. Our client is an established household name who operate across a number of Global locations and are going through some exciting changes. They are currently looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team, to work across a number of indirect categories. We are looking for someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in where needed. A real team player!
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that all GNFR contracts across the wider group are cost effective, appropriate, sufficiently flexible to meet future requirements, simple and enforceable with clear KPIs. Some experience of buying IT, Marketing, Travel, FM or logistics would be great. Contract drafting experience is a must!
Senior Buyer Main Responsibilities:- Lead negotiator for small/medium/Large contracts, and support negotiations for complex contracts.
- Ongoing reduction and control of annual spend across the group.
- Provide commercial, contractual and negotiation support.
- Manage contractual relationships with suppliers and internal customers during the contracting process.
- Preparation and review of contract schedules to enable a timeline view of workload activity.
- Commercial contract and negotiation skills.
- Contract Law and contract drafting experience.
- Influencing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate/Advanced level capability in using Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Teams.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to operate to tight deadlines.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- High level of attention to details.
